This policy explains what personal data this website collects, why, who receives it, how long it is kept and what your rights are. We only collect personal data when you send us an enquiry or accept cookies.
Who is responsible for your data

Enquiries
When you send an enquiry through this website, we collect:
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional) and message.
- Property enquiry form: your first and last name, email address, phone number, the property reference and your message.
- Property search questionnaire: your name and phone number, whether you would like a call or a WhatsApp message, your answers about the home you are looking for (areas, type of home, budget, bedrooms, new build or resale) and whether you are in Spain at the moment.
- With any of them: the page you sent it from, the language of the site, and which advert or link brought you here (the utm campaign parameters and Meta click ID in that link, the first page you opened and the address of the referring website).
We use this data to answer your enquiry and follow it up. You do not have to give it to us, but without it we cannot reply.
Legal basis: steps you ask us to take before a possible contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form or, on the questionnaire, by sending it (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Service providers
These companies process data for us, only on our instructions:
- Supabase: stores enquiries in a database in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany).
- Resend: sends Rita an email notification of each enquiry.
- Resales-Online: Rita's property management system (CRM) in Spain. Property enquiries are forwarded to it.
- Vercel: hosts this website. Like any web host, it handles technical data such as your IP address in order to deliver the pages.
- Fly.io: runs the server that fetches property listings. It handles no personal data, except property enquiries on their way to Resales-Online.
Some of these providers are based in, or use servers in, the United States. Where personal data leaves the European Union, it is protected by the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Cookies and similar technologies
On your first visit, a bar at the bottom of the page asks whether you accept cookies. Accepting and declining are equally easy. Nothing in the next list runs until you click Accept. On the property search questionnaire, this question comes on its own screen after you send it.

- Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.), to measure our adverts on Facebook and Instagram. Meta receives the pages and properties you view, your searches, taps on our phone number or email address, and the fact that you sent an enquiry, together with your IP address and browser details. For an enquiry we also send your email address, phone number, first name and country in hashed form (encoded with SHA-256 before sending), and the _fbp and _fbc cookies that Meta sets in your browser, so Meta can match the enquiry to its advert.
- Enquiry progress: if Rita later marks your enquiry as qualified, a viewing as booked or a deal as closed, we send Meta a hashed signal of that step. This also happens only if you accepted.
- YouTube video on the home page and Google Maps on the contact page (Google Ireland Ltd.). They load only after you accept.
- rje_attr: our own cookie, kept for 90 days, which remembers which advert or link first brought you to this site.
Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI).
Always
- rje_consent: our own cookie, kept for 180 days, which stores your choice. It is necessary so the site can respect that choice.
You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything that happened before.
How long we keep your data
We keep enquiries for 24 months and then delete them. The rje_attr cookie expires after 90 days and the rje_consent cookie after 180 days. You can delete cookies in your browser at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- have it corrected
- have it erased
- object to its use
- have its use restricted
- receive it in a portable format
- withdraw your consent at any time
To use any of these rights, email info@ritajonasestates.com. We will reply within one month.
If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD): www.aepd.es.
Changes to this policy
When what this website does with personal data changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
